AGRI-BIOCIRCULAR-HUB Releases Newsletter №2: Building Momentum — Six Months of Biocircular Progress
The second issue of the AGRI-BIOCIRCULAR-HUB Newsletter is now available, covering the project’s progress from November 2025 to July 2026 — a period that marked the transition from strategic mapping to practical implementation across Poland, Latvia and Ukraine.
This issue highlights the project’s first official review under Periodic Reporting #1, in which independent evaluators confirmed that the consortium’s foundation-building phase had been successfully completed. It also presents the advancement of regional pilots, including a biogas initiative converting invasive giant hogweed into renewable energy in the Carpathian region, and ongoing composting research at the Zelene Misto station in Lviv.
The newsletter further reports on the launch of “Field of the Future: Essays on Biocircular Economy,” a seven-part series exploring the economics, policy, and practice behind the transition to circular agriculture, as well as the project’s first Open Day at the Lviv Polytechnic Science Festival.
A central feature of this issue is the AGRI-BIOCIRCULAR-HUB Open Call, offering €50,000 lump-sum grants to twelve SMEs and startups from Poland, Latvia and Ukraine. Applicants have until 31 July 2026 to apply through the F6S platform.
