LIST of WORKPACKAGES
The AGRI-BIOCIRCULAR-HUB project is structured into 10 interlinked Work Packages that together support the project’s overarching mission: to strengthen regional innovation ecosystems through bio-circular strategies, sustainable agriculture, and inclusive R&I activities with a special focus on Ukraine. The project runs from 1 January 2025 to 31 December 2028.
WP1 – PROJECT MANAGEMENT AND COORDINATION
WP1 ensures effective overall coordination and internal communication within the consortium. It provides the foundation for smooth administrative, financial, and quality management processes and ensures compliance with data governance and open science principles.

WP2 – ECOSYSTEM MAPPING, BENCHMARKING AND R&I PROJECT INVESTMENT NEEDS & OPPORTUNITIES
WP2 focuses on identifying key regional actors, analysing ecosystem strengths and gaps, and aligning national and EU strategies. It maps the current landscape in the agri-food and bio-circular economy sectors and identifies future research and investment opportunities.

WP3 – R&I CONCEPTUAL DESIGN AND PILOTS PRE-DEVELOPMENT: BIO-CIRCULAR STRATEGIES AND SUSTAINABLE AGRICULTURE
This WP develops the conceptual design for regional pilot initiatives in sustainable agriculture and bio-circular strategies. It prepares the implementation roadmap, defines key impact indicators, and supports the development and scaling of pilot strategies.

WP4 – TRAINING AND CAPACITY BUILDING, OPEN INNOVATION AND ENTREPRENEURSHIP
WP4 develops training programmes and innovation challenges to build capacities within emerging ecosystems. It fosters skills in entrepreneurship, green technologies, and open innovation models to stimulate local economic growth.

WP5 – FINANCIAL SUPPORT TO THIRD PARTIES FOR R&I PROJECTS
This WP supports external stakeholders (such as SMEs and start-ups) through cascade funding. It organises open calls for R&I projects and provides mentoring to strengthen innovation capacity among third-party actors.

WP6 – MENTORING OF AN EMERGING-PLACE BASED ECOSYSTEM (UKRAINE): ECOSYSTEM BUILDING, KNOWLEDGE EXCHANGE AND INTERNATIONALIZATION
WP6 supports the development of a dynamic innovation ecosystem in Ukraine by promoting cross-border collaboration, creating living labs, and facilitating international knowledge exchange through mobility schemes and innovation missions.

WP7 – MENTORING OF AN EMERGING-PLACE BASED ECOSYSTEM (UKRAINE): MENTORING PROGRAMMES
This WP delivers targeted mentorship programmes for Ukrainian stakeholders, including farmers and entrepreneurs. It aims to enhance their participation in sustainable innovation processes and boost their capacity to lead green transitions.

WP8 – DISSEMINATION, EXPLOITATION, COMMUNICATION
WP8 ensures the visibility and outreach of the project. It disseminates results to stakeholders, promotes engagement through diverse communication channels, and supports the long-term utilization of project outcomes.

WP9 – TRANSFER OF RESULTS, IMPACT ASSESSMENT, OUTREACH AND FOLLOW-UP
WP9 measures the project’s impact and promotes the uptake of results by relevant actors. It supports sustainability planning, provides policy input, and ensures the continuation of results beyond the project’s end.

WP10 – ETHICS REQUIREMENTS
WP10 ensures the project’s compliance with all ethical and legal standards, including those related to data protection, responsible AI, and research integrity. It provides the necessary framework to uphold high ethical standards throughout implementation.
