Investment and Development Agency of Latvia (LIAA)
ABOUT THE ORGANISATION
The Investment and Development Agency of Latvia (LIAA) is a national governmental body responsible for fostering entrepreneurship, innovation, investment attraction, and export promotion in Latvia. LIAA serves as a strategic facilitator for business development, supporting Latvian SMEs and stakeholders in the innovation ecosystem. With significant experience in managing EU-funded projects, including Horizon Europe, LIAA actively promotes international R&I collaboration and strengthens links between business, research, and public sector actors. Within the AGRI-BIOCIRCULAR-HUB, LIAA draws on its extensive national and international networks, innovation policy expertise, and established communication infrastructure to maximize project impact in Latvia and beyond.
ROLE IN THE PROJECT
- Community and stakeholder engagement:
LIAA coordinates communication and outreach activities targeting Latvian SMEs, innovation ecosystem participants, and sectoral clusters. Using SME mailing lists, informational seminars, and targeted dissemination, LIAA will promote project results, foster cross-sectoral collaboration, and encourage adoption of innovations in the circular bioeconomy sector. - Strategic communication and dissemination:
Project news, press releases, and success stories will be shared via LIAA’s communication channels (website, social media, digital networks). Outcomes will be integrated into key events—such as innovation days and business forums—with clear EU funding visibility in all materials. - Internationalization and policy input:
As Latvia’s national innovation policy implementer, LIAA will engage in policy dialogue at both national and EU level, using project policy recommendations to inform R&I and investment policies. LIAA will also strengthen links with international investors, national ministries, and European innovation networks. - Monitoring and impact evaluation:
LIAA’s established monitoring tools will be used to assess the effectiveness of communication, stakeholder reach, and the impact of dissemination campaigns. Evaluation results will drive ongoing improvements and alignment with project and Horizon Europe objectives.
