Country and City: Poland, Kłecko

Przedsiębiorstwo Produkcyjno-Handlowe “Chrobry” Sp. z o.o (CHR)

ABOUT THE ORGANISATION

CHR is a group of seven experienced vegetable producers based in Kłecko, Greater Poland. Established over 20 years ago, the company began its journey with onion production and storage, pioneering one of the first professional vegetable storage facilities in Poland.

Over the years, CHR has evolved into a specialised and fully equipped vegetable processing company, focusing on cucumbers, pumpkins, beets, and peppers. Its facilities include modern technologies such as autoclaves and deep-freeze chambers, allowing for high-capacity, high-quality food production. In 2018, the company launched its own brand, DOBRODZIEJE, offering premium vegetable preserves made from natural ingredients.

CHR combines tradition, innovation, and sustainability in all aspects of production, from field to final product. The group maintains close ties with the local community and welcomes visits to both its plantations and processing site.

As a national leader in the field of green and digital innovation, LPNU is actively involved in projects focused on sustainability, smart specialisation, and regional development. It serves as a hub for innovation and entrepreneurial activity in Western Ukraine, cooperating closely with local authorities, SMEs, and academic networks.

ROLE IN THE PROJECT

Their role will be mainly in presenting farmers’ needs and expectations to the project consortium and bringing project results back to the farmers. They can provide their farms and fields as a basis for the project’s research activities. Farmers, members of the group, produce field vegetables using plastic folia and plastic water pipes which need to be recycled after use. Vegetables are then processed and packed in plastic bags. During the production process, organic matter is generated. Chrobry organises Cucumber Day, which can serve as a platform for promotion and dissemination of project results. They closely cooperate with the Greater Poland Chamber of Agriculture in the field of farmer education and training. They can also share their experience in farmers’ business cooperation and joint market and investment activities. Proposed tasks as contributor: T5.1, T6.2, T6.3, T6.4, T7.2, T8.1.
